Explications :

Présent en -ing :

Phrase affirmative : Sujet + auxiliaire be + verbe en -ing (they are waiting)

Phrase négative : Sujet + auxiliaire be + not + verbe en -ing (Mr Duff isn't taking)

Phrase interrogative : Auxiliaire be + sujet + verbe en -ing (are they doing)

Présent simple :

Phrase affirmative : Sujet + verbe (avec -s à la 3ème personne du singulier) (He hates)

Phrase négative : Sujet + auxiliaire do + not + verbe à l'infinitif (avec -s à la 3ème personne du singulier) (I don't believe)

Phrase interrogative : Auxiliaire do + sujet + verbe à l'infinitif (avec -s à la 3ème personne du singulier) (do you prefer)

Le présent be + V-ing

C'est le temps qu'on utilise pour une action en cours, en train de se passer

On utilise BE au présent (am/ is / are) suivi du verbe + -ing

On inverse be et le sujet dans les phrases interrogatives.

On ajoute 'not" à l'auxiliaire"be" pour les formes négatives.

Le présent simple >

La seule chose à laquelle il faut penser est de ne pas oublier le"s" à la troisième personne du singulier.

Pour les formes interrogatives et négatives, on utilise l'auxiliaire"do" qui devient"Does" à la troisième personne du singulier.

Question : Do/Does + sujet + Base Verbale+ ?

Négation : sujet + do/ Does+ not + Base Verbale

On utilise ce temps dans des présents de vérité générale, pour des habitudes, des sentiments.

1- He hates driving at night.

2- Which colour do you prefer ?

3- He always wins.

Les adverbes de fréquence de placent avant le verbe au présent simple.

Entre be et le verbe -ing au présent progressif.
