prétérit simple > action passée courte terminée

a- As we were buying tickets with my parents, it started to rain.

b- While Mum was looking for her umbrella, my little brother began to cry because he was hungry and Mum didn't want to buy him sweets.

c- Then the rain suddenly stopped and we went to the first attraction.

d- While we were waiting, a huge Voldemort appeared and scared us to death!

e- We had a fantastic weekend but my parents were exhausted. Dad almost fell asleep in the car !
