EXO 1 complete

1- They must be best friends.

2- I may/might go the party but I'm not really sure.

3- That woman can't be a doctor.She's far too young.

4- They might be away for the weekend but I'm not sure.

5- You haven't eaten the whole day. You must be hungry.

6- She's gone very pale. She must/ might be ill.

7- The exam could be easy. You never know.

8- He can't be from the USA. He doesn't speak English.

9- Our teacher isn't here today. He must be sick.

10- I can hear TV in the living room. My sister must be watching cartoons.

EXO 2 correct the wrong sentences

1- My children may be absent tomorrow.

2- He might get a new puppy.

3- Mike must be with his wife because it's their anniversary.

EXO 3  rewrite the sentences

1- ... so he can't be abroad.

2- He must be here.........

3- They may be on holidays.

4- Mr John might not find a job

Dans le n°1, j'ai parfois mis plusieurs choix. L'utilisation des  modaux est parfois très subjective en ce qui concerne les probabités...

par exemple :

They might be away for....On pourrait aussi dire "they could be away...

The exam could be easy... ou the exam might be easy

Regarde bien ton cours, cela devrait t'aider à rectifier certaines phrases selon les indications du prof..
